Alfresco- Understanding the DoD 5015 Certification

by | Aug 2, 2013 | Alfresco, Government IT, Government Solutions | 0 comments

For federal record managers, the importance of the DoD 5015 Chapter 2 Certification is widely understood as the de facto records management standard in North America. It defines the basic requirements that must be met by records management applications acquired by the Department of Defense and its components based on operational, legislative and legal needs.

Alfresco, the leading open source Enterprise Content Management (ECM) platform, recently completed their re-certification. As an Alfresco Platinum Partner, and Alfresco 2013 Federal Partner of the Year, Armedia realized the invaluable impact this certification would play within the government space.

James Bailey, the co-founder and President of Armedia authored a guest blog for Alfresco in which he explains why this certification is so important to government agencies. CLICK HERE to read his blog.
