Integrating Web and Enterprise CMS’ for Compliance
The TAG Content management Society is pleased to present how the integration of Drupal web front end with Alfresco content management systems results in a combined content publishing and document management system that truly is the best of both worlds.
Using leading open source content management technologies from Drupal and Alfresco, more organizations are building and managing web and intranet properties to accomplish a variety of needs. In addition, integration of these complementary products provides an extensive, flexible and innovative platform to build and maintain a rich content solution while maintaining all of the benefits of open source and cost of ownership as any proprietary solution on the market.
This session will demonstrate how the integration of Drupal and Alfresco provides a powerful combination that is tailored to help government agencies deal with challenges associated with complying with Freedom of Information Act Requests. Constituents use the Drupal front-end and its usability while the Alfresco back-end maintains the robust security and workflow features required of federal document management solutions.
We will illustrate:
- How the Drupal front-end allows for citizens to submit requests via a link on the agencies website
- How FOIA managers receive the request in the Alfresco back-end through CMIS Integration and workflow
- How the results from the request are then published back out to Drupal
