Armedia Announces Partnership with Componize for DITA CMS Solutions in the U.S.

by | Aug 22, 2011

Washington, August 22, 2011– Componize, the only DITA/XML CMS software designed specifically for modern technology standards like DITA, and Armedia, a leading provider of enterprise software consulting and integration services in the U.S., today announced a new system integration partnership. Together they will serve U.S. enterprises seeking to adopt and integrate a DITA CMS within their information systems to help improve quality, consistency and efficiency of content.

DITA, an acronym for Darwin Information Typing Architecture, is an OASIS XML standard for creating, managing, and publishing modular, structured content.  The standard’s use has grown rapidly in recent years among technical document and training content divisions of major enterprises across various industries.

“We’re thrilled about the future with Armedia,” says Componize CEO Jean-Luc Borie. “Their team has unparalleled expertise in navigating the challenges enterprises face in establishing and integrating their content management systems, particularly when it comes to some of the newest, most modern technologies and architectures.   Plus, we know Componize customers in the US will be able to truly maximize the potential of the product when they’re in Armedia’s care.”

“Componize is highly extensible, including open API extensions and true native DITA support, and can be adapted to support a variety of customer CMS solutions. This is very appealing to Armedia because it allows us to help our customers build rich, mission critical DITA oriented solutions that meet complex business needs,” says Armedia CEO Jim Nasr. “Componize offers a usable, best of breed solution to a challenging problem.”

In addition, both companies already work closely with enterprise CMS Alfresco.  Componize can be seamlessly integrated with Alfresco’s global enterprise content management systems, and Armedia is a longstanding Alfresco solution provider and a Certified Training Partner.

Both partners will be present together for the first time at series of DITA seminars in Sunnyvale, California, on September 22nd.  The seminars are open to enterprise business technical writers, documentation specialists and managers and will feature guest speaker JoAnn Hackos, Director of the Center for Information Management-Development.
