VIENNA, VA, February 25, 2021— Armedia, a technology systems integrator, will work as a subcontractor to Pragmatics to customize and implement Coordination and Access Portal for Standards (CAPS) on Amazon Web Services GovCloud for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). CAPS is a comprehensive online tool that allows the DHS Science & Technology Directorate’s (S&T’s) Systems Engineering and Standards Division (SES) to analyze, aggregate and distribute standards-related data using cutting-edge technologies to all Federal agencies and contractors.
Armedia is executing the ArkCase case management solution as the core commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) package with Pragmatics. By implementing this solution, system will be adaptable to meet all standards provider needs, the deployment schedule will be accelerated, security will be enhanced, and costs will be reduced. ArkCase supports a low-code development environment which supports complete integration with external systems to a published web service interface.
This year-long project will employ a highly customized version of ArkCase to create an online portal, supported by a customized workflow to manage user requests. The online portal will be used by project managers, DHS S&T, and others involved in research, development and procurement aspects across the department to identify needed standards and track standards usage. This information sharing portal will also provide transparency, while increasing collaboration and efficiency across DHS and reporting requirements to Congress.
“Armedia is excited about supporting the Science and Technology Directorate’s data management initiative,” stated Jan Coley, Vice President of Business Development at Armedia. “ArkCase is a flexible, scalable tool that will streamline the Directorate’s usage of standards.”
