by | Dec 19, 2012

Armedia LLC has announced the City of Chattanooga has selected the company to deliver an electronic content management software suite to handle the City’s digital records.

This announcement came following the Chattanooga City Council’s 8-1 vote on Tuesday evening  to move forward with an agreement that would begin a transition of the City’s records to paperless format. The Electronic Content Management Software Suite is a configurable, open source solution that helps record managers track and manage records throughout the life cycle, including: scanning and importing, archiving, retrieving, and disposing. This will enable the City of Chattanooga to efficiently exercise centralized control over electronic records with one holistic view.

Armedia’s extensive experience with government sector content management efforts at both the federal and state/local level provided understanding that capabilities for lifecycle records management extended need far beyond what is available in most enterprise content management systems.  The Electronic Content Management Software Suite was designed specifically for both the regulation requirements and the significant volume of records generated by the government sector.
